disaster risk reduction management
A total of nineteen (19) weather disturbances have been monitored by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (MDRRMC) from the month of January to December 2019. All weather advisories gathered from PAG-ASA, Project NOAH, Climate X, and ASTI-DOST were forwarded to members of MDRRMC and Barangay Captains using the Carmona Message Cast Systems for action planning. In 2019, three (3) typhoons namely, Typhoon Signal No. 1 (TD Jenny), Signal No. 2 (Ursula), and Typhoon Signal No. 3 (Tisoy) affected the municipality.

A total of seventy-seven (77) vehicles are being used by different offices for rescue operations, waste collection and other daily activities of the concerned department enumerated above. Of this number, Barangay has 34 (44%) vehicles; followed by MDRRM, MENRO, PNP and Manila Jockey Club with six vehicles each and BFP with 5 vehicles.

In 2019, the DRRM-Carmona catered 472 emergency medical responses, with an average response time of 6-15 minutes. These consist of a vehicular accident, household accident, industrial accident, fire accident, medical, and stabbing incident. Of this composition, vehicular accidents got the highest magnitude, with 389 reported incidents, followed by medical-related responses.
Casualties
MDRRMO recorded a total of three hundred eighty one (381) individuals injured from different incidents for the year 2019; of which (361) are accounted for vehicular accident; eleven (11) cases accounted for aggravated assault; four (4) persons are injured from fire and five (5) from fall incident.
As for fatalities, a total of eight (8) persons were recorded; of which five (5) is caused by vehicular accidents; two (2) medical cases and one (1) from electrocution.

In the 2019 Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED), the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council conducted four (4) earthquake drills at different areas in the municipality wherein 20,707 participants from Barangays, private companies and schools participated.

The Municipality of Carmona has fifteen (15) existing early warning system strategically located at different barangays where flooding, landslide, ground shaking will possibly occur in time of weather disturbances. These early warning system are composed of two ( 2 ) water level monitoring (flooding ) markers, two ( 2 ) West Valley Fault Markers, one ( 1 ) Automated Water Level Monitoring System, four ( 4 ) Multi-Hazard Early Warning Sirens for Ground Shaking, Automated Rain Gauge, and Early Warning System board.
In addition, 4 CCTV cameras were installed at Sugar Road and Cedar Bridge Brgy. Lantic, San Pablo St. (West) Cabilang Baybay River and at Carmona-Binan Boundary in Brgy. Maduya.
At present, there is a permanent evacuation center at Barangay Lantic which can house 8 families; hence, the temporary evacuation centers in the municipality are strategically located at public schools thru the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Local Government Unit and Schools. Strategically, Barangays 1-7 (Poblacion) use municipal plaza and barangay hall as their temporary haven in case turbulent weather hits the place while Barangays 8-14 use their own barangay hall, covered courts and nearby public schools.
