  1. Office Mandate

The Accounting Office shall be responsible for ensuring that all transactions of the LGU are authorized, valid, reliability and in conformity with the established audit and accounting regulations

2.      Services and Functions

– Checking of the completeness of the attachments of various LGU disbursements

– Checking of all the LGU disbursements in accordance with the approved budget

-Recording of all the government transactions (receipts, disbursements, etc.)

-Remittance of withheld taxes

-Issuances of certifications for transactions with withheld taxes

-Preparation of Financial Statements

-Assisting the Commission on Audit in the conduct of various audits

-Assisting the Barangays in the recording of its financial transactions and financial statement preparation

Vision:

To be an efficient and effective accounting department with established and systematic accounting, reporting and internal control procedures for various LGU financial transactions

Mission:

To prepare accurate, relevant and timely financial report that is in accordance with the various accounting and auditing regulations, establish internal controls that will ensure that all financial transactions are authorized, valid, reliable and recorded timely in the accounting books and maintain policies and procedures that will safeguard the assets of the LGU.
