POPULATION OF WORKING AGE GROUP\/ LABOR FORCE BY BARANGAY<\/p>

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Carmona has a total labor force of 39,367 or 41% of the total population. Labor force members include all members 15 years old and above who are currently working or actively seeking for work. They are the economically active population contributing to Carmona\u2019s local economy. Males are the most economically active population with 23,421 while female is only 15,946. The highest number of labor force comes from Barangay Milagrosa with 9,294.<\/p>

Barangays with higher populations and industrial subdivisions such as Barangays Maduya, Cabilang Baybay, and Bancal have a massive number of employed members of the labor force.<\/p>

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Barangay Milagrosa accumulated the highest number of members of the labor force, with a total of 9,294 individuals; Barangay Lantic and Barangay Bancal followed with 6,949 and 6,442 members, respectively. Barangays 1 to 8 (Poblacion) recorded the least number of employed members of the labor force.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

Employment Rate<\/p>

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Carmona\u2019s employment rate is 94.99%, or 37, 396 out of 39, 367 individuals who are members of the labor force. Barangay Milagrosa has the highest magnitude with 8, 717 employed persons, followed by Barangay Lantic with 6, 682 members of the municipality\u2019s labor force. The least number of employed persons was noted at Barangay 5- (Poblacion) with 261 individuals.<\/p>

Based on the results of the conducted CBMS Census Survey, there are 34, 203 individuals or 91% of the total 37, 397 employed members of the labor force who declare their salary. The most populated areas like Milagrosa, Lantic and Bancal have the most number of waged members while the Poblacion area have relatively lower magnitude of waged members considering its land area.\u00a0<\/p>

    \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 As of 2019, forty-seven (47) households were reportedly experiencing food shortage. This is 0.19% of the total number of households that exist in the municipality. The highest magnitude was charted at Barangay Lantic with 19 households followed by 14 households from Barangay Maduya. Food shortage or the scarcity of food to family\/individual can be brought by the unavailability of stable job that could help them satisfy or at least meet their basic food needs. It can also be observed that the presence of this serious condition is common at the barangays with higher population while zero-rate was recorded at the Poblacion areas.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>

    \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0In 2019, 1,006 job applicants were registered in the Public Employment Service Office (PESO). Out of these applicants, 600 were placed. Sixty percent (60%) of which is being paid by the LGU while forty percent (40%) came from DOLE through education vouchers.<\/p>
