Labor force members include all members 15 years old and above who are currently working or actively seeking for work. They are the economically active population contributing to Carmona\u2019s local economy. Males are the most economically active population with 23,421 while female is only 15,946. The highest number of labor force comes from Barangay Milagrosa with 9,294.<\/p><p>Table 1. Barangays with higher populations and industrial subdivisions such as Barangays Maduya, Cabilang Baybay, and Bancal have a massive number of employed members of the labor force.<\/p><p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Barangay Milagrosa accumulated the highest number of members of the labor force, with a total of 9,294 individuals; Barangay Lantic and Barangay Bancal followed with 6,949 and 6,442 members, respectively. Barangays 1 to 8 (Poblacion) recorded the least number of employed members of the labor force.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/p><p>Employment Rate<\/p><p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Carmona\u2019s employment rate is 94.99%, or 37, 396 out of 39, 367 individuals who are members of the labor force. Barangay Milagrosa has the highest magnitude with 8, 717 employed persons, followed by Barangay Lantic with 6, 682 members of the municipality\u2019s labor force. The least number of employed persons was noted at Barangay 5- (Poblacion) with 261 individuals.<\/p><p>Table 2. CBMS record shows that there is a significant decrease in the unemployment rate from 9.09% in 2014 to 5.01% in 2017.The highest numbers of unemployed are from Barangay Milagrosa with 577 while the least is from Barangay 5 with only 2 unemployed individuals. Others are waiting for the results of their previous job application while some believe that no work is available for them.<\/p><p>Underemployment<\/p><p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Underemployment refers to the employed persons who express the desire to have additional hours of work in their present job or an additional job, or have a new job with longer working hours. Carmona\u2019s underemployment rate is decreasing, from 27.44% in 2014 to 15.07% in 2017.
