  1. Office Mandate<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/td>\n
\n

The City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) is the social welfare arm of the Municipal Government mandated by Local Government Code of 1991 to address poverty-related concerns and committed to the care, protection and rehabilitation of individuals, families, groups and communities<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

2.       Services and Functions<\/p>\n<\/td>\n

\n

To attain, this the CSWDO will pursue the following objectives:<\/p>\n

1.   To promote, protect and safeguard the rights and welfare of all children through the implementation of Day Care program and implementation of RA 9344, \u201cThe Juvenile and Justice Act of 2006\u201d.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

2.   To respond and manage all reported VAWC cases, and increase the awareness of the population through education, and information dissemination to all 14 barangays in compliance to Republic Act 9262, \u201cAnti-Violence Against Women and their Children (VAWC) Act of 2004\u201d.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

3.   To provide services that will alleviate the plight of solo parents through the implementation of RA 8972, \u201cSolo Parent Welfare Act of 2000\u201d.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

4.   To address the needs of all individuals and families in crisis situations through timely provision of financial, medical, and burial assistance.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

5.   To provide livelihood assistance to economically challenged residents who are qualified for the program.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

6.   To extend educational assistance to identified qualified students.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

7.   To implement monthly social pension and other social services to all qualified senior citizens.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

8.   To conduct activities in support and observance of sectoral celebration such as but not limited to the following: elderly week, women\u2019s month, children\u2019s month, LGBTQ + OFWs, and the likes.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

9.   To provide needed augmentation services to PWDs that are not yet registered with the PDAO.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

10.  Strengthen the partnership with stakeholders in the area, to heightened awareness as well as to promote volunteerism and social responsibility.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

11.  To advocate the Social Welfare Development (SWD) as a priority concerns for all LGU\u2019s, NGO\u2019s and other institutions including legislators and other concerned individual and groups.<\/p>\n

12.To provide overall leadership competence and guidance in the delivery of Social Welfare & Development Services within the municipality through capability building<\/p>\n
