Led by the Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO), the Municipality of Carmona celebrated the 39th National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation (NDPR) Week which happened from July 17 to July 23. The local government laid out several programs and projects to celebrate the NDPR week.

On the first day of the celebration, Mayor Dahlia Loyola led the body to an oath-taking ceremony where government employees expressed their support in promoting the rights and privileges of persons with disabilities (PWDs). On the same occasion, the local government also distributed financial assistance to PDAO students in junior and senior high schools.

After a parade and a holy mass in the morning, PDAO also launched the "Colors of Hope" trade fair in the afternoon at Waltermart Carmona. The said trade fair showcased different recyclable products under the Reciclar de Carmona. Reciclar de Carmona is actually a livelihood program of PDAO and Kilusan Kabalikat ng may Kapansanan para sa Kinabukasan (4K) which creates bags and different paper maché products from recycled papers.

Aside from the said activities, PDAO also held a cultural show and painting workshop on its second and third days of celebration.
