July is the National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM) and Carmona is one with this cause. On July 10, the local government launched not just one but two projects that are intended to serve the community better.

One of these projects is the Message Cast System (MCS) which is a web-based system that uses text blasts to disseminate information regarding early warnings and advisories. Through this technology, there will be a quicker transmission of messages which will aid in a much effective public warning before, during, and after calamities.

The MCS will send advisories from agencies like the PAGASA, PHIVOLCS, PNP, and MDRRMO. During its launch, employees of the local government received a welcoming text message from the administrators of the MCS.

Aside from the MCS, there was also a turnover of SOS Dispatch System (SDS) units to the Carmona Rescue, PNP, MHO, and BFP. These SDS units will allow a faster reporting, response, and recording process in times of emergencies. Furthermore, the SDS is also equipped with a Now Force Cloud System App and push to talk technology for a more secured yet faster communication.
