Carmona is a First Class Municipality located in the Island of Luzon, Province of Cavite, and Region IV. This municipality is approximately 36 kilometers South of Manila and Thirty (38) kilometers from the Provincial Capitol, Trece Martires City. It is bounded by the municipality of Biñan on the North and South, General Mariano Alvarez on the Southwest and Silang on the West. The geographical location of the site is about 120 3’ latitude and 141 9' longitudes.
In 1988, more than fifty (50) hectares of farmlands were converted into an industrial hub. This conversion has led to the progress of Carmona that caused factories, garment industries, steel fabrications, microchips and semiconductors, tools fabrication, bus assembly, bulbs factories, die casting and other small to medium scale industries to grow like mushrooms.
Currently, we have four hundred ninety-two (492) Industrial establishments in eleven (11) Industrial Subdivisions and one thousand eight hundred forty-four (1, 844) Commercial Establishments. BPO industry also started to take part in the continuously growing business community of Carmona. Foreign investments are still pouring in, as export-oriented industries move in high gear. Thanks to the sustained industrial peace, competitive labor force, and good governance of Carmona.
Carmona belongs to the 5th Congressional District of the Province of Cavite. It is bounded on the North, East, and South by Biñan, Laguna; on the Northwest by General Mariano Alvarez, Cavite; and on the Southwest by the Municipality of Silang, Cavite.
Carmona is considered urban in its entirety. It has a total of fourteen (14) barangays wherein eight (8) barangays are located in the Poblacion area. In terms of land area, Barangay Lantic occupies the biggest area with 1,364 hectares while the Poblacion has the smallest area of 45.07 hectares.
