PWDCO Learner Pinuela bags 3 in Palarong Pambansa 2010

April 11-17. More than 10,000 student athletes from the 17 regions of the country joined Department of Education’s annual Palarong Pambansa in San Jose Recreational Park, Tarlac City.
Elementary and secondary students from both public and private schools in the country competed in several athletics like badminton, baseball, basketball, boxing, chess, football, gymnastics (artistic and rhythmic), sepak takraw, softball, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, tennis, volleyball, archery and arnis. Together with the regular children, visually-impaired and mentally-handicapped children also took part in the said event.
Persons with Disabilities Coordinating Office Low Vision learner Clarriz Pinuela (grade 4 mainstreaming) was sent as one of Region IV-A CALABARZON’s participants. At the end of the tournament, Pinuela bagged the following awards, 2nd place - 100m Run, 2nd place – Standing Long Jump and 3rd place – Shot put.
